Employment of Family Members

The College permits employment of members of the same family. However, to ensure objectivity and impartiality in employment-related situations (evaluation, hiring, salary setting) employment of immediate family members in a direct reporting relationship is not permitted. Immediate family members are defined as parents, children, spouses or partners, and siblings.

Summer Employment

Each summer the College has a limited number of on-campus summer jobs and accepts applications for work in various departments according to the following guidelines:

Priority in employment will be given to Williams College students.

Summer employees must be at least sixteen years of age in order to work. Working papers are required for those under eighteen and can be obtained at the local high schools.
