Assistant Director, Williams College Children's Center (WCCC)

The WCCC serves approximately 70 children, ranging from age six weeks through school age, of faculty, staff and the community. The Center is housed in a brand new state-of-the art facility, and is part of a child-centered community of parents committed to exceptional quality early care and education. The position of Assistant Director would begin in mid June 2008.

The Assistant Director will have the opportunity to work with the Director to provide leadership and support to the WCCC staff; develop curriculum, oversee NAEYC accreditation, manage recruitment and enrollment. Additional responsibilities include administration of health, safety and licensing policies.

Interested candidates should have a minimum of a BA or BS in early childhood education or a related field, 1 to 3 years experience in an early childhood education supervisory role, and EEC Director I or II qualification. We are looking for an early care and education professional with compassion, great interpersonal skills, experience in progressive programming, emergent curriculum development, and working from children's strengths.
