How to Upload Multiple Files and/or Folders to Blackboard?

First you create a folder and organize all your files in the folder. Then you package the folder using Stuffit/Dropzip(for Mac) or WinZip(for PC) into one single packaged file. Then go to Blackboard and find a content area that you would like to upload the packaged file. Instead of clicking "item" to add it to the content area of your choice, you select "document package" from the drop down menu at the far right side of the window and click "go". Then follow the on-screen instruction to complete the upload just as you normally do when uploading a single file.

Once the upload is complete, the Document Unpackage tool will unpackage your folder(s)/files the way that you have organized them. The folder structure in the zip file will be translated into folders and the file name(s) and folder name(s) will be the item name(s) on Blackboard system. So please name your files and folders in a way that students will know what they are. Also avoid using foreign characters (e.g. # > / , etc) in your file name(s) and/or folder name(s).

If you are a Mac user and you don't have Stuffit installed on your computers, you can download the stuffit installer here.
