Windows XP - Automatic Updates:
Without keeping your computer updated with the critical security patches released by Microsoft, the antivirus client we just installed may not help against certain attacks. Follow these steps to protect yourself:
- Open your start menu and click on "Control Panel." Open up the "System" control panel. You should see a tab entitled "Automatic Updates." Click on that tab and configure the options as shown below. Change the time to one where your computer is most likely to be on. Running automatic updates should not interfere with the use of your computer. Click "OK" when you are finished and then move on to the next guide.
