"What to do if the scanner doesn't respond"

Sometimes when this computer is left on for days at a time it will lose communication with the scanners. You'll know this has happened when you try to scan from Adobe Photoshop or another program and you see a message about the scanner not being connected.

The first thing to try is unplugging and the FireWire cable from the back of the scanner(s), then plugging it back in. If there are USB and/or FireWire hubs attached to the system, unplug the power and then plug them back in.
You may need to exit the scanning software and then running it again. When all else fails, REBOOT. If that doesn't seem to work call Todd's Cell @281-0226
