To install Champs you must first remove the existing version of Champs.
Then you will need to run the Champs installer which is located on the Facilities Shared folder (\\hector\buildingsgrounds\shared) in the directory:
G:\Champs Installer – 042909.GM\CMMS_Setup\
Running the installer is pretty much just taking all the defaults, and answer Next, Yes or Finish. A bogus serial # needs to be entered on one dialog window.
After running the Champs installer, a registry file must be run to import settings into the registry. This registry file is located in the directory:
G:\Champs Installer – 042909.GM
and named champs.reg, the user should drag this to their desktop as some users may not be able to import the reg file while it's stored on the network due to different windows security settings.
The following displays all the screenshots during the removal of the old champs and the install of new champs, and the importing of the registry file.
Start
Control Panel
Double Click on Add Remove Programs
The following will display:
Highlight CMMS and click Change/Remove
An InstallShield Wizard will display:
Click the radio buttom for Remove and then click next

Click OK to confirm you want to remove the Champs (CMMS) program
You may get the following
Click ignore and the removal will continue.
The following dialog box will display
Click Finish and this will complete the removal of the old Champs client.
Next you will get the following dialog
Choose No.
and click Finish
Double click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and this will open the following window:
Double click on the Network Drive, Shared on BuildingsGrounds (G
Locate the folder Champs Intaller - 042909.GM And double click it
This will display the following:
Select the CMMS_Setup folder and double click it, this will display the following:

Double click on the Setup.exe (if extensions are not displayed, but icons are, the above display
shows the correct one to choose, it will have InstallShield info)
This will display the following warning:
Click Run.
The following window will display
Click Next and the following window will display
Click Yes and the following will display
Click Next

Serial # is bogus so you can put in anything like 111111
And then click Next

Typical should be selected and then click Next
The following screen is now displayed:
Take the defaults by clicking Next and the following will display
Take the defaults again by clicking Next (these setting will be set later)

Again take the defaults and click Next, the following will display:
Click Next to take the defaults again and the following will display:
Take the defaults again, and click Next to get the following:
Click Next to confirm and Start the copying of files for the installation:

Will display indicating the status of the install and when complete the following will display:
Click Finish to complete the install, the following will display
You do not need to reboot after the install, so you can Select:
No, I will restart my computer later
and then click Finish.
Now we need to navigate back where we started the install
Click the Back button to go to the previous folder.
This will display:
There is a file, named CHAMPS, this is a registry file. You should drag this file to your desktop and then double click on it.
You may get this warning when dragging to your desktop:
Just click Yes to confirm you want to copy this to your desktop.
Double click on the file, and you should get the following message:
Click Yes and the following will display
Click OK to confirm that the registry entry was successfully made.
That completes the install.
