Organizing A Reunion Committee

ORGANIZING A REUNION COMMITTEE

The reunion chair is encouraged to recruit classmates to help coordinate various components of the weekend.

The following volunteers should be recruited:

  • Golf Chair - Works directly with the Taconic Golf Club in coordinating tee times for classmates (see "key details" section)

The following positions are optional:

  • Entertainment - Hires musical entertainment and coordinates any other class-related outing/activity such as a hike, museum tour, etc. (see "key details" section)
  • Logo Item - designs and orders the logo item worn in the parade (see "key details" section)
  • Meals - works with the caterers to plan menus and arrange meal times (see "class meals" and "selecting a caterer" sections)
  • Children's Activities - arranges children's activities for times that College events are not scheduled (see "children" section)
  • Outreach/Inclusion- Coordinates effort to contact classmates to encourage reunion attendance. Can be 3-7 people involved. (see "promoting your reunion" section)

The following responsibilities are managed by Class Officers:

  • Budget/class Reunion Fee - The class treasurer develops the reunion budget, sets the class fee and pays bills (see "setting your class fee" and "control the cost of your reunion" sections)
  • Class Officer Succession Plan- Class Officers should oversee the process of recruiting new class leadership. A call for volunteers should be part of the March class mailing.
