Dear Williams Regional Volunteers,

One of my favorite parts of being President is that I travel across the country and abroad, meeting members of the Williams community in their own backyards. I’ve had the good fortune to visit 50 (and counting) Williams Regional Associations.

Regional events and programs are wonderful reminders that Williams is alive and well beyond the Purple Valley. Good feelings toward the College don’t always just happen. They are cultivated by our regional leaders, and I’m delighted to take this opportunity to thank you for your creative and enthusiastic efforts. Your time and energy are appreciated by everybody in Williamstown and, more important, in your hometown, where Williams thrives thanks to you.

My very best wishes,
Morton Owen Schapiro
16th President
Williams College
